Job Requisition ID #24WD76275Position overviewAutodesk is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to join our Global Indirect Tax team, focusing on strategic tax management and consultancy within the framework of our Future of Finance initiative. You will be crucial for transitioning our tax operations from traditional, manual tasks to a more strategic, automated and advisory model. The transformation aims to enhance the efficiency of our finance and tax operations, allowing us to focus more on delivering strategic tax insights and advice. This initiative not only aims to improve the operational effectiveness of our finance and tax departments but also to enrich our employees’ professional development by fostering in-demand skills.You will report into the Senior Manager, Sr. Manager, Global VAT Compliance & Planning.We offer both hybrid and remote work options.Responsibilities

  • Be a thinker on tax digitization, staying ahead of changes in digital tax regulations, e-Invoicing, digital reporting, and VAT updates, and communicating these changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and implement tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring they are responsive to global tax legislative changes and aligned with Autodesk’s business objectives.
  • Provide strategic oversight in designing and implementing solutions to enhance tax compliance efficiency and effectiveness, applying your experience to guide the team through these changes.
  • Lead tax projects that streamline operations and enhance partner satisfaction, demonstrating initiative and forward-thinking in the tax domain.
  • Offer advice during audits or inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring Autodesk’s tax positions are robustly defended and compliant with current laws.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic improvements in the tax process, applying a proactive and self-starting approach to lead efficiency and compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a Big 4 or in-house multinational environment, with a foundation in indirect tax legislation and its practical application in a global business setting.
  • Required professional qualifications in tax (CTA) with a strong preference for candidates who also possess accounting qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience leading tax-related projects, showcasing project management skills and a self-starter attitude.
  • Solid analytical skills and a experience resolving complex tax issues.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members on tax-related matters, displaying a commitment to team development and knowledge sharing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and influencing strategic tax decisions.
