Our team is a group of people brought together through passion and inspired by possibility. We are looking for team members who enjoy solving complex problems, are motivated to challenge themselves, and are delighted with turning clever ideas into unique products.

Millions of consumer-initiated tests are performed through our products and billions of data points are collected globally every day. With all this measurement comes countless ways to dissect and analyze our data, and plenty of exciting opportunities to optimize our broader strategy. When you work for us, you are using Ookla data and insights to further our mission to improve connectivity for all.

Ookla is looking for an Industry Analyst to develop and own the company’s editorial program and external facing thought leadership across the Americas. This is a highly specialized role for an individual with demonstrated mastery level knowledge of technical telecommunications trends, with an emphasis on network performance, quality and accessibility.

With the support of Ookla’s existing editorial and marketing team, the Lead Industry Analyst will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s key technical enterprise messages to a sophisticated international audience. We are committed to providing you a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. If you consider yourself innovative, adept at collaboration, and you care deeply about the work you do, we want to talk!

Responsibilities

  4. Amplify content through interviews with press, speaking opportunities at trade shows and events, on social media, and with customers/prospects.
  5. Supervise the delivery of custom research as required, to help broaden and drive more value from Ookla’s engagement with key customers.
  6. Coordinate with the wider analyst and account management teams to help identify storytelling opportunities and bring those ideas to life.
  7. Collaborate closely with data, product and design teams to ensure analyst content and analysis is robust, targeted and impactful
  8. Become an expert in Ookla’s products, datasets and core audiences to be able to represent the company in front of customers and in the press.

Requirements

We are looking for the right person, not the exact list of requirements. If you believe your life experience has prepared you for similar challenges, we’d like to hear from you.

  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate to senior technical enterprise audiences via writing
  • Eager to work closely with colleagues and foster a positive, inclusive work environment
  • Energized by a fast-paced environment where project priorities and key messages change frequently
  • The humility to take edits well and the audacity to know when to push back
  • Spanish or Portuguese language is a nice to have
  • Background check required
