- You will conduct scientific research in a new research project: “Occupational safety and health standards in high performance sport: legal and ethical considerations for a sustainable sport model”.
- You will do your research under the guidance and supervision of your supervisor, co-supervisor and a coordinating postdoctoral researcher.
- In addition, you will provide teaching support and guidance within the limits of research funding.
- You will be engaged in operations of the Labour Law Institute, including the academic services and team activities of the Labour Law Institute, such as study days and publications.
- You will work as a team with the other members of the Labour Law Institute.
- You hold both a Bacherlor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Law.
- You have excellent study results and you obtained the Master’s degree in Law with distinction.
- You have continued to distinguish yourself during your studies. A good master’s thesis is a plus in this regard.
- You have a very good active knowledge of Dutch and English.
- You have at least a good passive knowledge of French.
- You have a demonstrable interest in or affinity with labour and sports law.
- You have good computer skills.
- You have skills to critically analyse and report theoretical texts and legal research.
- You have a smooth personality, good communication skills and a fluent writing style.
- You can work independently as well as in and with the existing team, you can be of service and show enough initiative.
- You are able to successfully complete a scientific investigation under supervision.
- You are motivated and show willingness and ability to develop the conducted research into a PhD.
- Full-time, fixed-term appointment as a doctoral scholarship holder (one year, renewable, up to four years total, the duration of the doctoral project), with an attractive scholarship.
- Start date is 1 October 2025.
