  • Propose alternative text/clauses to customer contracts, as appropriate for the Company business.

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer contracts to identify risks and ensure conformity to Company policy.
  • Draft contracts for engineering, procurement management, and construction management projects.
  • Liaise with legal, risk management, tax, and accounting personnel to ensure process, policy and prime contractual requirements are met prior to submission to management for approval.
  • Function as a member of a negotiating team consisting of business development and project management staff to establish the business terms and conditions of a contract.
  • Monitor and administer prime contract administration activities, coordinating with other project disciplines to assure compliance with prime contract obligations and responsibilities.
  • Solve prime contract problems, taking independent action as prescribed by project procedures.
  • Perform all subcontract formation duties including prequalification of bidders, solicitation of proposals, proposal evaluations, source selection recommendations, negotiation of contract terms and conditions, conformance, formation and execution.
  • Initiate and closeout Backcharges, Notices and Claims.
  • Facilitate all commercial meetings with Subcontractor to ensure terms, conditions and contractual obligations are understood and executed in a manner that meets cost and schedule requirements.
  • Interface daily on key execution matters with focus on issues which may necessitate revisions to Subcontract.
  • Interface and align with overall contract price budget and performance reporting.
  • Perform ongoing Subcontract post-award administration duties, including change management, contractual compliance, performance evaluation, closeout of agreements, and records retention.
  • Verification of Subcontractor time sheets and invoices for accuracy prior to issuance to accounting for payment.
  • Regularly interface with departmental staff, upper management, and outside customers.

QualificationsWhat you will bringTechnical and Industry Experience:

  • Minimum 4-8 years relevant experience. Previous site experience is valuable.
  • Knowledge of applicable theories, practices and accepted procedures in contract administration.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency with applicable Contract Management software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Recommends innovative program and/or program solutions.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to guide department personnel in partnership with and during manager’s absence is essential

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:Required:

  • Bachelor degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
