Intern – Telecom, Media and High Tech Research

Who You’ll Work With

You will be based in our Wroclaw office as part of our Client Capabilities Network (CCN). You will focus on the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) industry. You will be part of a global team of 60+ colleagues who help clients outperform and innovate across connectivity, media and new technologies industry.

They support our consultant teams, both remotely and at client sites, in an agile and targeted way. Further, they are core to our firm’s R&D, developing new knowledge and building and refining proprietary capabilities (e.g. assets, data sets), as well as curating, managing, and maintaining them. Our portfolio includes state-of-the-art research, asset-backed and rapid diagnostics, benchmarking, and workflow support. Our professionals have deep expertise and are able to apply a broad range of methodologies for specialized on-demand analyses. 

What You’ll Do

You will play an important role on McKinsey projects by conducting end-to-end research in response to specific business questions. 

In this role, your responsibilities will include sourcing information from internal as well as secondary data sources, analyzing and synthesizing information, and creating well organized and concise end products in McKinsey format. You will be leveraging industry specific resources to support McKinsey consultants in solving specific client business problems focusing on Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) industry. You will also collaborate with our global team to build and share industry knowledge through codification and continuous support on maintaining proprietary assets (data sets, benchmarking tools). 

This internship program will enhance your professional and personal development through mentoring and coaching sessions with tenured colleagues. This will last up to 12 months with a minimum of 25 work hours per week. You will have the opportunity for a permanent role depending on the success of your internship and open roles at the time.

Qualifications

• University student in the 3rd-5th year with a consistently strong academic record from any discipline (e.g. economics, engineering, quantitative methods, IT, etc.)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Drive and passion to deliver on challenging projects
• Collaborative and comfortable working in teams
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in English and local office language(s)
