Renewal Eco-Recyclers (RECOR) Ltd/Gte. is a social enterprise committed to sustainable plastic waste recycling in Yola South, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Our mission is to promote environmental sustainability while empowering the local community to earn income through a circular economy. RECOR Ltd./Gte., collects and recycles waste plastic into plastic bales, flakes, and pellets, which are secondary raw materials for producing other finished plastic products. With an installed processing capacity of over 40 tons of plastics monthly.

Role Overview:
The Internal Auditor will provide an independent and objective assessment of RECOR’s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks. Reporting directly to the Board, the Internal Auditor will evaluate the company’s adherence to policies and regulations and recommend improvements to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of financial statements, operational processes, and internal controls to identify risks or non-compliance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Monitor compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas of inefficiency, waste, or fraud and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Board of Directors.
- Review risk management policies and procedures to ensure they are comprehensive and effective.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure action plans are implemented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or ACCA are required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in auditing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of internal control systems, risk management, and governance practices.
- Experience with audit software and ERP systems is a plus.
