Investment Accounting – Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Investments) Vacancies: Two (Senior Accountant and Senior Accounting Analyst) Position Will Report To: Director, Investment Accounting Onsite Placement: League City, Texas (Monday-Friday / 8:00 am-4:30 pm) Individual selected must have availability outside of core business hours, as necessary. Please Note: In review of candidate qualifications, another job level may be considered, (Staff Accountant). We are seeking professional accountants who have experience in investments, to join our team. The positions are considered high profile as they will directly support the organization’s financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidates will have a background in both accounting and investments. What You will Do: Perform custody reconciliations Verify cash, outstanding payables, and receivables Manage investments including equities, mutual funds, fixed income securities, and private placements Perform month-end, year-end, and quarterly closes Support audits and financial reporting procedures Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree Strong investment knowledge, including hedge funds, stocks, bonds, and/or private equities Insurance industry experience is beneficial GAAP accounting principles, required with experience in Statutory accounting is ideal Experience with fund administration, both in-house or outsourcing Technical skills in Clearwater, project management, and SAP are valuable CPA license is a plus but not required
