Position Description: IT Business Analyst
Reporting to the IT Project Manager, the IT Business Analyst focuses on improving operations that involve information technology within the company. The IT Business Analyst will analyze the hardware, software, and IT services that are being employed in a company. The IT Business Analyst must have a clear understanding of business needs and the ability to manage them effectively to ensure the successful implementation of the project deliverable.
Responsibilities
- Understand and represent PRITM’s mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customers
- Engage clients in appropriate communication that manages client expectations and builds a collaborative relationship with the client
- Interact with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRITM staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRITM management
- Instills integrity throughout the organization via active participation in ISO requirements including but not limited to timely submission of Corrective Action Plans for all matters in which either PRITM standards and/or corporate contract standards have not been met. Communicating outcomes to team members to ensure a positive, open, environment which mitigates risk and achieves a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement
- Contribute to business development efforts for new sales and marketing to promote the business, including responses to requests for quotes, sources sought, proposals, and/or presentations as requested
- Serve as key liaison to other departments that have specific business functions
- Collaborate with departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions
- Plan, produce, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources
- Produce timely and high-quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes
- Answer questions and clarify requirements for projects and enhancements during the estimation process
- Become knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects
- Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms
- Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems applications
- Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests
- Coordinate tactical related business requests for IT development enhancements
- Participate in meetings with the IT team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress

Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Three to five years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements
- Experienced in test planning, test case development and execution
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, domains, and networks
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively, both independently and with staff at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with confidentiality and tact
- Reliable and trustworthy; Integrity is required; availability
- Must have no conflict of interest (COI) as defined in 1154(b)(1) of the Social Secu ity Act (SSA)

Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance
