  • Understand and take ownership for contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure that contractual commitments are delivered across operations and business areas
  • Responsibility for category spend focus which will include sourcing IT vendors, contract negotiations, performance, relationship, and procurement decisions
  • Single point of contact to IT stakeholders and ensuring vendors delivering IT products or services
  • Support business stakeholders and take responsibility for cost savings strategy (100+ vendors), categorization, and prioritization of vendor relationships, managing supply chain risks , contract maintenance, review of risk assessments
  • Global lead to IT business management to manage and administer contracts for IT hardware and software spend. Work through subcategories, developing a strategy for vendor cost consolidation or reduction plan. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and IT category ownership by creating and defending category strategies and decisions with analytics.
  • Manage negotiations of IT contracts and ensure best practices to protects the company’s assets. Create transparent documents to manage and maintain IT contract inventory
  • Establish, implement, enforce vendor guidelines, obligations and service levels agreements to the organization to ensure timely deliveries to orders/requests
  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts. Conduct benchmark studies as appropriate. Identify sourcing trends for continuous improvement
  • Develop IT supplier score card to measure supplier performance against agreed upon key performance indicators; tracks compliance and support formal management reporting to director and other members of senior management
  • Support creation of reports and review of vendor spend analytics, including trend reports
  • Evaluates vendor performance for the preferred vendors within the IT category they oversee
  • Participates in policy reviews for IT Procurement Services, support compliance to third party policy and procedures (vendor onboarding and outsourcing compliance)
  • Work closely with legal counsel in ensuring contract execution is efficient and timely
  • Handles invoice dispute escalation on IT contract commitments with vendors and liaise with Finance
  • Support build of main vendor repository to ensure effective contract management and vendor relationships are maintained for strong backup coverage
  • Join a vendor management team to support change efficiency projects and other various tasks

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is typically required, preferably in an analytical field (such as business, economics or finance)
  • Knowledge of category management practices, experience in negotiating contracts/ agreements and strong vendor management skill
  • Strong experience in project management and contract negotiation
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to management and other internal groups
  • Strong Communications Skills, both Oral and Written, and be able to participate and/or lead meetings
  • Must be able to evaluate and compare supplier quotes, bids and information and make a recommendation based on the findings. Will present these findings in summary and provide supporting documentation
  • PC proficiency to include Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI familiarity, Smartsheets a plus
