Lex Consultancy is partnering with the Irish Management Institute to recruit an experienced IT Support Analyst to join a collaborative team in Dublin 16, close to Sandyford Business Park.

This role involves working with the IT team and supporting all the IMI users who need the Infrastructure on Dublin campus and in our cloud environments. Responsibility encompasses the full digital transformation project life cycle, and also supporting the current IT operations.

Working as part of a small team the role will also involve Assets management, patching of all IT equipment, working with the ticket management system based on ITIL and coordinating of the IT infrastructure projects.

The role will focus on using technology to improve and streamline processes throughout the business.

Key responsibilities:
(Key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to):

  • Oversee IT security and manage vendors in areas including DMZ, TCP/IP, subnets, firewall, web control, VPN, virus protection, online backups/restoring.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Support and administrate virtual servers based on Windows 2019 and 2012 Datacenter.
  • Support IT network infrastructure – switches, routers, cabling, datapoints, fibre optic links.
  • Support WiFi solution – access points, SSIDs, Meraki software.
  • Support managed print solution.
  • Administer and support VOIP telephony solution – handsets, user accounts, reporting.
  • Administer and support mobile phone.
  • Administration and support of Hyper-V, Window Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP.
  • Administration and support of Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Recommend and document processes, policies and procedures for the IT department.
  • Provide occasional technical and AV support to customers and visiting presenters.
  • Provide face to face or remote support to staff across the organisation, responding to and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Work with third-party vendors in testing, evaluating and supporting new technologies.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with third party vendors and partners.

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business IT or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience on customer service support for Windows end-user.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate qualifications are desirable (e.g. AZ-900 Azure Fundamental).
  • Previous experience working on Windows upgrade projects.
  • Previous experience working closely with IT security (LAN/WAN, VPN, end-point, firewall, cloud).
  • Previous experience working closely with backup solution.
  • Previous experience supporting Microsoft 365 Power Platform.
  • Previous experience on voice technology (VOIP and mobile).
  • The ability to adhere to policies and guidelines and see projects through to completion.
