We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual for the role of IT Assistant, to support the delivery of IT and language education in the humanitarian aid context. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to work with displaced individuals in a multicultural, multilingual environment, helping them gain essential digital skills and improve their access to educational opportunities. You will be part of a team that works to empower students, using english as the primary language of instruction while providing key support in class materials, teaching, and student progress tracking.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and preparing IT and language class materials
- Translate class materials into students’ native languages with AI support.
- Gathering and submission of data, i.e. maintain daily attendance, collect student feedback and progress,
- Teaching group and one-on-one classes.
- Online teaching if needed, co-teaching if needed.
- Monitor student cases and report to relevant coordinator at planned intervals
- Prepare and conduct workshops if interested.
- Teaching IT using English as a communication medium, lesson pacing, utlising simple language cues etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or volunteering, particularly in IT or language education.
- English language proficiency is required
