Glimpse of Telecom IT Support Job
Join our dynamic team as a Telecom Support Specialist! We’re seeking a proactive individual with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and at least one semester of customer service or student worker experience. Ideal candidates will have a background in IT or business management and experience with VoIP, Wireless, Video, Surveillance, and Door Access systems.
You will be the IT Support Specialist the Central Help Desk and other service desks reach out to for assistance with advanced Tier 1 and Tier II issues. This on-site role is based in College Station, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and fulfill Telecom service requests, coordinate departmental moves, and support workflow.
- Resolve technical issues, liaise with vendors, and provide advanced Tier I and Tier II support.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, manage inventory, and recommend process improvements.
- Provide resource estimates, progress reports, and correct customer information.
Skills Required:
- Excellent multitasking, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Quick learner with software knowledge and adaptability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels and across various departments.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cross-disciplined IT skills, report writing, client relations, and knowledge of ITIL.
