The role:The Learning & Development Business Partner is a dynamic, strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and innovation through exceptional learning solutions. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Human Resources, this key role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the HR team, shaping the future of employee development. This is a pivotal role for a proactive leader ready to make a significant impact.This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced L&D professional to join a global leader in respiratory diagnostics. Working closely with our HR business partnering team, the successful candidate will have an immediate and direct impact on building workforce capabilities by developing organisational effectiveness programmes in line with our Vitalograph26 business strategy.The role has an international remit and will provide L&D support to Vitalograph locations in the UK, Ireland, Germany and the USA. This is a permanent employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be a member of the Vitalograph Human Resources team. They will be self-motivated and have an ability to work independently and consult with the HR business partnering activities at Vitalograph.Key areas of responsibility:

  • Consulting with business and HR leaders, develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Consulting with HR leaders, evolve the VITAL Way (the Vitalograph leadership competency framework).
  • Manage the Vitalograph Centre of Learning (VCL), a cloud-based learning experience platform used internally to create, distribute, and manage the delivery of educational content.
  • Working in tandem with the HR business partnering team, lead L&D activities across Vitalograph and consult with key stakeholders to identify learning and development needs for employees with a particular emphasis on fostering employee growth and development through L&D programmes.
  • Proactive talent management, including succession planning at all levels of the organisation.
  • Working with relevant SMEs to build a comprehensive skills matrix for all role across Vitalograph, to include key roles and lead the development of our people to successfully progress through the framework and be ready for promotion/internal advancements.
  • Deliver induction programmes for new hires and maintain content up to date.
  • Identify external programs, resources and vendors that specifically meet learning and development needs.
  • Work with vendors to provide quality cost-effective learning solutions. Lead and/or support negotiations of resources, schedules, contracts and fees for both internal and externally developed programs.
  • Deliver training programs to employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Act as a consultant to HR Business Partners to ensure that development needs identified in Individual Development Plans (IDPs) are met by sourcing, designing and delivering appropriate solutions in line with the 70-20-10 development model.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team and business leaders in managing the Vitalograph Graduate programme.
  • Document training and manage training records. Provide L&D reports required for internal/external audits and management reviews.
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning programs. Design and implement learning assessment methodologies and tools.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end learning lifecycle management of learning solutions, projects and programs.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in learning and development.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications And Experience:

  • Exceptional ability to consult and collaborate with multiple stakeholders as an L&D subject matter expert.
  • Adds value as both an individual contributor and active member of the human resources team.
  • A successful track record of working collaboratively, timely planning and execution of key initiatives, and project coordination.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Strong facilitation skills. Excellent collaboration, presentation, and communication ability.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar capacity within a multinational or large-scale corporate environment, preferably in medical devices/healthcare.
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Strong IT skills (excellent knowledge and experience of using LMS/LXP platforms, learning content curation tools, Microsoft suite).
