LEAD OPERATIONS ENGINEERS – PERMANENT – SURREY

Our Client, an offshore oil and gas contractor, is currently looking for Lead Operations Engineers to join the team in Surrey with missions to Italy, Romania and Offshore on board a heavy lift vessel during mob and installation, must be able and happy to work overseas and offshore when required.

Must have experience with lead operations engineering within the oil and gas industry.

JOB SCOPE

The job involves the opportunity to work on the installation of a jacket and topsides as well as the associated subsea infrastructure in support of a large field development in the Black Sea.

The primary mission of the Lead Operations Engineer is to lead the readiness for the semi-submersible heavy lift vessel and its associated marine spread, as well as be the project representative on-board the vessel during the offshore construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare technical documents related to his/her work package(s).
  • Follow-up the procurement and logistics plan related to his/her work package(s).
  • Review the installation engineering of his/her work package(s).
  • Lead the subcontracting activities associated to his/her work package(s).
  • Interface with Vessel Management Team / ASSET and OPERATIONS departments regarding the preparations of the Mobile Assets and vessel.
  • Coordinate the project qualifications and tests (FAT / SIT) jointly with fabrication yards.
  • Lead the mobilization and demobilization activities of his / her vessel and associated marine spread.
  • Interface with Project Marine Advisor regarding the vetting of the vessels (Marine assurance plan).
  • Take an active part in the Operations Review and Project Risk Assessment process.
  • Coordinate the offshore operations on-board the vessel as project representative.
  • Follow-up the project close-out of the invoicing process.
  • Support the Project Operations Manager (or delegate) related to the readiness of the vessel.
