Description:NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines ServiceAdvanced Clinical Pharmacist Inpatient Mental Health ServicesBand 8A (1.0wte) 37 hours Permanent£60,126 – £64,906 (with On-Call and Public Holiday working)NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian. We are focused on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.We are delighted that following ongoing Scottish Government investment into mental health recovery and renewal, we are growing our team with the addition of advanced clinical pharmacist posts delivering mental health pharmaceutical care to a defined patient population. This post will have responsibility for clinical pharmacy services to adult in-patients, with provision of a proactive service to the rehabilitation wards of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and the Community Rehabilitation Team. The postholder will liaise with senior hospital staff across various professions and will line manage a team of clinical pharmacists, being responsible for their teams performance and development.The post holder is employed within NHS Lothian and there may be a requirement to work flexibly across Lothian to meet service demands. Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent and must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) Candidates should be annotated on the GPhC register as an independent prescriber. A postgraduate Clinical Diploma or Masters in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or equivalent is essential.
