Risk and Compliance Manager – Join this reputable and growing team in Edgbaston!Are you a proactive and detail-oriented compliance professional? This is your chance to play a key role in shaping a strong risk-aware culture at an expanding law firm with over ten offices.With new office openings and exciting changes across the business, our client is seeking a dynamic individual to ensure compliance and best practices are upheld. You’ll work closely with managers across departments to strengthen their risk management framework.Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a standardised approach to compliance across all offices
• Ensure full firm-wide adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
• Manage professional indemnity insurance, including claims and investigations
• Oversee health and safety policies and ensure compliance
• Provide regular compliance updates to senior management
• Handle escalated complaints with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Legal Ombudsman
• Advise fee earners on professional conduct, conflicts of interest and ethical matters
• Deliver compliance training and keep policies up to date with legal regulations
• Conduct internal compliance audits and file reviews
• Supervise and mentor the Risk and Complaints team
• Maintain the Confidential Register of Interests and oversee the Lexcel accreditation process
• Ensure all client communications comply with SRA and Law Society regulations
• Support due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions

About You:

• 3+ years’ experience in compliance within legal services is a MUST!
• Strong knowledge of SRA, ICO and NCA regulations
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to risk management and operational resilience
