Due to ongoing growth, they are looking for a professional, organized, and dedicated Legal Secretary to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their legal career in a supportive and dynamic environmentof the office.As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to our legal team. Your role will involve handling a variety of legal documents, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation be the first point of contact for clients and play an important role in the efficient running of the practice.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and legal teams.
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including letters, contracts, and court filings.
  • Manage and organize legal files, ensuring accurate filing and retrieval of documents.
  • Handle incoming calls and client inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and court appearances.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and send client bills, maintaining accurate records of work performed.
  • Assist with the preparation of trial bundles and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as clients, courts, and other legal professionals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal administrative role, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent typing and document production skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and professional attitude.
