Hanna is located 199 km from Red Deer, with a population of 2,673. The town offers its residents a friendly, safe, and small town lifestyle. Hanna residents benefit from a wide variety of amenities within the town, such as the Aquatic Centre for swimming, Centennial Place for fitness and other activities, and two lakes within 15 kilometers of the town where residents can waterski or enjoy the sandy beaches. The Hanna Health Centre is comprised of a 24-hour Emergency Department, a 17 bed Acute Care ward, and a 61 bed Long Term Care facility. Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the values of AHS – compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Geriatric Nursing an asset.
