Loans Manager (Player Development Phase)About The RoleLCFC are looking for individual with significant experience in professional football to work with and support our young players on loan.Working closely with the Director of Football, Academy Manager, and LCFC Academy Staff within the Player Development Phase (PDP), the successful postholder will support the identification of loan opportunities through an in-depth analysis of football league clubs and their own network of individuals across the football landscape. Taking into consideration the best interests of the young players’ development whilst out on loan, the role will provide a comprehensive package of support to assist the player navigate the challenges of being on loan, living away from home and the Academy environment.This is a unique role that can assist a player in the first steps of a senior professional career and as such requires an individual that has a detailed knowledge and experience of player development at this age but also the skills to utilise the expertise that exist from the various academy departments including Player Care, Performance Support and Coaching.Who We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience within professional football whilst championing the development and welfare of the Club’s PDP players through the considered identification of potential loan opportunities and provision of a comprehensive support programme for Academy players on loan.Key tasks of the role include:-Develop relationships with clubs across the professional and non-league game that will provide high quality loan experiences for identified PDP players.-Mentor and support LCFC players out on loan.-To scout and report on a range of clubs across the football pyramid to identify potential host clubs.-To develop positive relationships with senior staff in potential host clubs across the football pyramid.-To build an excellent knowledge of, and relationships with, PDP players and staff.-To facilitate the process of players going out on loan to host clubs.-To support the transition of LCFC loan players to host clubs.-To watch loan players in matches and training and provide reports for First Team and Academy staff.-To mentor the players out on loan.-To provide technical and tactical feedback to players ensuring their continued development.-To partnership with the Player Care team ensure the loan players mental health and wellbeing is supported.-To communicate information across departments at the LCFC.Essential Criteria:-Previous experience in a similar role or elite football environment.-An excellent technical and tactical knowledge of professional football.-Good IT and written skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.-The ability to integrate and work alongside the current Senior and Academy Staff at the Club.-A good understanding of sport science, psychology and player analysis-Demonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all time.-Friendly, well organized with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.-Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work.-Ability to travel across multiple sites and locations, including overnight stays and occasional overseas travel.Desirable Criteria:-Experience of professional football and in particular of being on loan.-Football coaching qualification(s).About The ClubKnowing some of the history of Leicester City Football Club helps you appreciate the sense of community, spirit and family for which the Foxes are renowned for.Formed in 1884, the Club was promoted to the Premier League in 2014 when the Foxes returned to the top tier as the Championship title-winners.
