Their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction sets them apart as a trusted partner in the logistics industry.Position Overview:We are seeking a commercially driven Logistics Director to join our client’s dynamic team in the UK, specifically in the Trent region. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking to advance their career into a Director role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding the logistics operations, currently encompassing two sites with approximately 60 warehouse operations staff. The role demands strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a keen focus on business growth, particularly into new verticals.Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and direction for the logistics operations, ensuring alignment with the companys overall strategy and goals.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client’s presence in new verticals, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the two existing sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the warehouse operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the logistics budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective strategies to improve profitability.
• Process Improvement: Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in a logistics or warehousing management role, with a track record of successful site management and operational excellence.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading diverse teams and driving performance.
• Commercial Acumen: Excellent commercial awareness and business development skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Education: A degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
