Job description

As Logistics specialist, you will be the central figure in the Corporate Logistics Operations Center in Ireland. You will facilitate seamless logistics operations, acting as a critical link between various business sectors and ensuring an outstanding customer journey.Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage and resolve logistics queries and concerns, sharing insights and solutions with the team to foster continuous improvement.
  • Handle and resolve all queries related to the ‘Global Transportation Network delivery service’ via our internal ticketing system.
  • Foster robust cross-functional communication with internal teams, building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues across Production Centers, Sales Centers, and Logistics.
  • Establish and leverage strong relationships with external partners essential to our operations, including Customs and Trade Compliance officials, logistics partners, and IT service providers.
  • Collaborate with team members to address and mitigate operational disruptions, such as IT outages or capacity challenges.
  • Oversee and coordinate physical and IT flows (inbound, outbound, returns) using various Transport Management System (TMS) applications.
  • Provide timely information on delivery dates (IOD) or proof of delivery (POD) as required.
  • Prepare and coordinate necessary shipping documents, including commercial invoices, Air Waybills (AWB), customs declarations, and Safety Data Sheets.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by your manager, supporting the development and efficiency of the Global Logistics Operations Center.

Qualifications and Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, preferably with a focus on logistics, or equivalent experience in a freight forwarding environment with a strong IT affinity.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Customer-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder communication.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as German, Chinese, Polish, Russian, or French are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic about creating and maintaining thorough documentation (e.g., Work Instructions, SOPs, SLAs).
  • Familiarity with SAP (Module WM) or other Transport Management Systems is a plus.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Preferred certifications in ADR, IMO, and IATA are an advantage.
