As Manager O&M for passive Infrastructure, the incumbent will be responsible to ensure site up time through preventive and corrective maintenance of passive infrastructure at sites.

Incumbent will be responsible for Energy Management, Site Management, Fault reduction, Preventive Maintenance (DG, PIU, SMPS, Battery Bank, AC, Transformer), Infra Provider (IP) Management, Data Management, Customer Management, O&M Billing, Hygiene of site.

Incumbent will also coordinate infrastructure up gradation activities and ensures timely payments of rent, diesel and electricity charges after validating the vendor bills.

Incumbent will be required to have in -depth understanding of the Core Processes, Planning, Execution and Implementation, Vendor Management, Site up-gradation, liaising work, NOC from Local authorities, Electrical Connection etc.

This job requires the individual to work closely with multiple teams and third party vendors. The individual should be willing to work on-field and be able to handle high pressure situations.

Incumbent should be adaptable to changing work environments and have good practical knowledge to successfully perform the assigned responsibilities.

Incumbent have at least 7-9 years experience with a reputed Telecom Infrastructure company in a similar role

Skills Required:

• Understanding of Telecom passive infrastructure required to run the telecom sites.
• Knowledge of active and passive equipment’s deployed at Telecom sites.
• Understanding issues which may lead to site outage and resolve them.
• Partner management skills.
• Expertise in Excel, data analytics and presentations.
• Understanding of different power sources and storage devices – EB / Diesel Generators / Battery

Banks – VRLA and Li-ion.

Governance with OME/MS toward reducing network opex

Collaborative working with partners ,cross functional and circle teams.

Improving site quality & safety standards.

• Support own sites circle O&M teams to meet performance standards relating to network uptime, site infrastructure
• Sites database management for all the own sites including inventory details of both active & passive infra
• Monitor O&M performance of all circle against key metrics & capturing RCA for corrective actions
• Ensuring process compliance and periodic review of processes/audits for any improvement
• Monitor R&R process & flash dashboard for aging process
• Support Infra up gradation to accommodate new technologies.
• Ensuring alarm compliance at all the sites and monitoring these alarms for network uptime & energy cost improvement
• Monitoring opex of owned sites & tracks for reduction for same.
• Demonstrate collaborative relationship with internal & external stake holders
• Demonstrate analytical skills for rent and energy cost reduction
• Should have competency to solely handle the new requirements
• Individual can address the growing requirements through execution excellence

AMC & Program management:

Program management of 3PP and SLA adherence

AMC of all OEM/ vendors

Disaster Management:

Keeping Disaster Recovery Plans updated of the network.

Risk Management:

Evaluation of risk and mitigation (plan B availability)

Inventory Management:

Spare and Inventory management for passive in house.

Repair & Return tracking and penalty imposition on 3P for not meeting TAT

Fault Incidence Reporting:

Responsible for Fault Incidence Report, tracking major incidents root cause analysis, network availability as per escalation matrix.

Manpower Management:

Team building and bench strength creation for business continuity

Second line identification and grooming 

Training need assessment for all employees

To provide direction and energize others to work together towards shared goals by building clarity, improving communication, clearly and fixing accountability.

Security/Regulatory compliance:

Liasoning and statutory compliance related to USOF/DOT

Security compliance as per DOT/USOF guidelines

Access and Password hygiene of all NW nodes to ensure no misuse.

SACFA compliance

Educational Qualifications

Engineering or relevant degree / diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Telecom/Electronics

Work Experience:

Total of 7-9 Years with minimum 5-6 years in telecom Infra operations management

Assty Manager/Manager O&M Telecom Infrastructure
