What you’ll do

The Network Deployment Specialist focuses upon the deployment, implementation, integration, commissioning/de-commissioning and acceptance testing of any network components and services (e.g. across Mobile Access, Fixed Access and Access TX / 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) in line with the network infrastructure strategy.The Network Deployment Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures to deploy and deliver network equipment and services and conduct performance assessments and optimisation.Typically reports to the Network Deployment Manager.

The Network Deployment Specialist focuses upon the deployment, implementation, integration, commissioning/de-commissioning and acceptance testing of any network components and services (e.g. across Mobile Access, Fixed Access and Access TX / 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) in line with the network infrastructure strategy. The Network Deployment Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures to deploy and deliver network equipment and services and conduct performance assessments and optimisation. Typically reports to the Network Deployment Manager.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications field, demonstrating a strong background in data communications with a clear understanding of technologies and systems used, this should include some of the following: MPLS, SDWAN, SDN, ATM/ADSL, PDH/SDH, Cisco Routers & Switches, MLPPP, Ethernet, configuring Cisco, Alcatel, Nokia and Juniper Network devices.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols & services (TCP/UDP, IPSec, MPLS, Internet, SNMP, DNS, Radius/TACACS+, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, L2/L3 VPN & Netflow) and Transmission fundamentals
• Understanding of MPLS VPN fundamentals and their application within a Service Provider environment, including the application of QoS mechanisms
• Experience of provisioning tools, network management applications and network inventories (eg. Cramer) and IP platforms
• Knowledge of multi-vendor router and firewall configuration

What’s in it for you

• Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification / relevant experience.
• Preferable: Juniper JNCIA Junos accreditation.
• Preferable: Valid Cisco Certified Professional qualification (CCNP)
• Preferable: SDWAN knowledge (Cisco – Viptela / Meraki, Juniper, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet & Juniper MIST), 4G, Firewall & IOT.
