The Manufacturing Engineer II will design and refine manufacturing processes that support the production of sophisticated medical devices, focusing on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Experience with devices that include electrical functionality is advantageous.Quality Management & Compliance
This role requires a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring all procedures meet regulatory standards. The Manufacturing Engineer II will consistently ensure adherence to quality protocols, delivering work that is compliant, data-driven, and meets all safety, scope, and cost parameters.Statistical & Scientific Problem-Solving
The successful candidate will utilise statistical techniques and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, 5 Whys, 6M) to address complex production challenges, quantify assumptions, and make data-driven decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management
Working within a cross-functional team, the Manufacturing Engineer II will coordinate with project managers, quality experts, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, adapt to challenges, and track progress. Essential project management skills in planning, risk management, and communication are needed to excel.Manufacturing Layout & Equipment Optimisation
This role involves designing and optimising the layout of machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient workflows and safe work environments. The engineer will inspect equipment performance, develop testing protocols, and initiate corrective actions to enhance productivity and product reliability.Differentiators for the Role

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: A University Degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with relevant expertise.
  • Technical Competency: Demonstrated skills in manufacturing process control, statistical analysis, and quality compliance.
  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Meticulous in meeting high standards for accuracy, compliance, and quality across all work.
