A leading off-site manufacturer specialising in the structural fabrication and fit out of mechanical & electrical plant rooms based in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Kilkenny has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team.The successful individual will oversee the fabrication workshop, specifically dealing with structures and piping, to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes within the fabrication workshop.The role requires that projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.The successful individual will have the following:

• Manufacturing background; Metal fabrication or pipe fitting experience.
• 4+ years’ experience in a related management role
• Proactive with the ability to foresee potential issues and solve problems.
• Excellent ability to plan and schedule future projects.
• Strong appreciation for delivering high quality standards.
• Excellent with delegation & people management skills

The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Preparation and management of daily & weekly production schedules to ensure required output is achieved.
• Carry out daily management of the workshop, provision of supervision and leadership to the workshop employees.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of fabrication equipment, scheduling maintenance and upgrades to minimise downtime.
• Review of design information received for each project and delegate accordingly.
• Inspection and monitoring of fabrication works to ensure that products meet customers specifications and quality requirements.
• Research and implement new fabrication techniques and technologies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage stock and preparation of order lists for materials & consumables required for each project.
• Continuous reviewing of existing manufacturing processes in order to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure safety protocols are being upheld at all times.
