The EPA is seeking its future Marketing and Communication Officer!The European Psychiatric Association (EPA) is the largest international association of psychiatrists in Europe, with active members in 88 countries. The EPA brings together leading experts covering the interests of psychiatrists in academic and clinical settings. The EPA addresses psychiatry and its specialised disciplines, focusing on improving care for people with mental disorders, and on developing professional excellence. The EPA represents over 2 500 individual members, as well as 44 national psychiatric associations across Europe. Its main activity is organizing scientific events, particularly the European Congress of Psychiatry once a year in a European city.Why join us?

Your role: In collaboration with our team and partners, you will be in charge of the Association’s communication and marketing activities. Your mission will include promoting the European Congress of Psychiatry, writing newsletters for members, as well as communication around EU-funded projects.TasksContent creation and management
- Write and distribute EPA content: monthly newsletter, annual activity report, brochures, website, social media, etc.
- Produce attractive visual materials (infographics, banners, images, etc.)
- Review and provide suggestions on Congress promotional content and visuals
- Oversee the updating and maintenance of the EPA website and other digital platforms
- Coordinate activities of external service providers (web development, graphic designers, videographers, photographers, etc.)
- Support the updating of EPA Sections web pages
Digital marketing and social media
- Manage the EPA’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky) and increase stakeholder engagement through relevant and innovative posts
- Develop an editorial plan for non-Congress social media and digital marketing campaigns (including paid advertising)
- Review and contribute to the monthly editorial plan for publications related to the European Congress of Psychiatry
- Direct community management during the European Congress of Psychiatry
- Analyse and comment on digital marketing reports for the European Congress of Psychiatry
Communicate about European projects
- Ensure the implementation of communication and dissemination activities for European projects in which the EPA participates
- Support the EPA team in monitoring and writing reports related to the communication activities of these projects
- Participate in project meetings
Administrative support to EPA committees and management of the Publication Committee
- Organise or supervise the organisation of Committee meetings and teleconferences: prepare agendas, documents, presentations, minutes, etc.
- Manage the logistical aspects of meetings (hotel reservations, catering, etc.) and ensure follow-up
- Ensure internal communication between the Committee and the EPA Administrative Office
RequirementsThe ideal profile:
- Degree in communication, marketing, public relations, journalism, or similar disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of experience (ideally in the academic, scientific, or non-profit sector)
- Excellent writing skills in English (C1/C2 required)
- Experience using social media, WordPress, MailChimp, and institutional communication tools
- Graphic design skills and proficiency with video creation and editing tools (Canva is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong priority management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Team-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
- Professional proficiency in French; knowledge of other languages is a plus
