Location: Bristol, Hybrid. 2+ Days per week in the office

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 + up to 10% annual company bonus.

Marketing Executive

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive, ideally with 2-3 years generalist marketing experience, to join our scaling business, at a very exciting time.

Reporting to our Head of Marketing you’ll join a growing team of 5, your role will span the complete marketing mix including social media, website management, marketing campaigns, competitor, and performance analysis. This is a great role for you to continue to learn and develop as part of a scaling and high-growth organisation.

In addition, this is an incredible opportunity to help further the transition to renewable energy.

Vaarst is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow, upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating marketing campaigns, advertising and, optimisation metrics – to ensure campaigns are effective.
  • Delivering engaging campaigns – from competitor landscaping, database creation, to campaign planning and project management, copywriting, email campaigns, supplier management and internal updates.
  • Social media marketing – blogs, articles, videos and post sharing across a variety of owned channels.
  • Event Coordination – Manage our presence at a range of events. Briefing stakeholders and suppliers, creating event stand designs, setting up lead generation campaigns and tracking results.

  • Good working knowledge of core marketing areas.
  • Ability to use Microsoft computer programmes and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and tools like Canva.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, how to engage with audiences and being able to identify future trends.
  • Willing to travel and support the coordination of our presence at trade shows and industry events as required.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation capabilities, coupled with the ability to simultaneously control various projects.
  • Strong verbal and written proficiency, including professional proofreading, editing and presentation capability.
  • A strong desire to learn and own the role.

Grow together with Vaarst, you may have some knowledge of the following, if you don’t these are areas you’ll develop in.

  • Working with Mailchimp, CRM data platform, digital asset management systems and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge across all core marketing areas including content management, copywriting, multi-media print, digital, social media, direct marketing and promotional marketing.
  • Subsea and Technology sectors.

Interview Process

  • Talent Partner Interview: We will tell you more about the role, the team and Vaarst’s mission. This is a two-way conversation; we want to learn about your motivation, what you can bring to Vaarst, and provide answers to your questions.
  • Team Interview: Engage in a 1.5-hour interview with our Head of Marketing and another member of the team. This interview will give you more information on the team’s goals and objectives and we will be assessing your skillset. This will include a functional skills assessment.
  • Director of Product and Marketing Conversation: A 30-minute discussion. This is your opportunity to express your thoughts on the role and ask any final questions. We’ll clarify expectations and ensure this role aligns with your aspirations.

Vaarst is a cloud robotics business, focused on the energy transition space. We are developing a platform for mobile autonomous robotics, starting with the offshore renewables sector, where our aim is to solve robotic challenges of today and the future.
