- Perform research to develop new products.
- Improve or adapt existing products and technologies for material development with regards to fiber cement.
- Manage portfolio of products based on fiber cement technology.
- Offer technical support to internal (i.e. QC, production sites in Belgium/Europe/LATAM/Nigeria, business units) and external customers.
- Test products on small lab scale and extrapolate the formulation to specifically product-oriented processes.
- Elaborate fire test programs, follow-up and analyze the test results.
- Search for new raw materials to improve the performance of products or reduce production costs.
- Report in a clear way on the progress, deliverables to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze the test results and conclude.
What You’ll Bring:
- PhD in applied science, material science or mineral chemistry science.
- Few years of experience in a similar role, in R&D environment.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong communications skills and ability to communicate across different levels of organization.
- Fluent English.
