Job descriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for one the UK’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering businesses where they Design and Build unique engineering projects within Rail, Building Services, Infrastructure and Energy sectors.Our client has an opening for a ambitious M&E Project Manager to join an innovative team and be part of delivering distinctive engineering projects.What you will be doing:Client and Project Management:Understand client or company objectives and deliverables.Agree on timescales, costs, and resources for project completion.Maintain regular progress reports and effective communication with stakeholders.Compliance and Oversight:Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with M & E standards, safety codes, and regulations.Obtain necessary permits and licenses.Contracts and Negotiation:Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Supervision and Execution:Direct and supervise workers, ensuring adherence to construction methods and project specifications.Select, contract, and oversee workers for specific project tasks.Requisition supplies and materials.Budgeting and Reporting:Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking documents.Develop and implement quality control programs.Project Planning and Coordination:Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.Investigate and address damage, accidents, or delays to ensure proper procedures are followed.Project Closeout:Prepare final project reports, mark up ‘as-builts’, and contribute to health and safety and operation and maintenance documentation.RequirementsRelevant HNC / HND or Bachelor Degree (or equivalent qualification)M&E experience in a working on Construction, Building OR Rail projectsAbility to work independently and manage a budget.Strong leadership and management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with high accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Expected salary

£50000 – 60000 per year
