Then you should join us!The Position:The Medical Science Liaison Metabolic Diseases (MSL) is a field-based function that meet the needs of the endocrinologists, cardiologists and pneumonologists with deep content knowledge on metabolic diseases, the treatment and the environmental challenges. The primary focus is being the interface between Lilly and Thought Leaders, scientific and clinical experts. You will have a portfolio of scientific experts, visiting them to exchange scientific data, gain insights in the therapeutic domain of metabolic disease, support scientific projects and organize scientific meetings.You will reinforce the Medical Affairs capacity across the metabolic disease portfolio in particular for launching new indications. You are reporting to the Associate Director, MSL BE&NL based in Belgium.Your Primary activities areMaintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledgeYou will be required to engage in continuous learning to maintain the highest level of technical expertise within the therapeutic area of metabolic diseases. This will enable you to answer scientific questions and establish yourself as a reliable, trusted, resource of unbiased, accurate, up-to-date, medical and scientific knowledge requested and desired by the endocrinologists/cardiologists/pneumonologists.

• Respond to external customer questions and needs, including escalations by Med Info & Sales in accordance with company-wide requirements for responding to unsolicited requests for information
• Develop and maintain collaborations and relationships with relevant professional societies & patient organizations
• Deliver scientific, educational, and promotional presentations internally and to customers
• Support the development of slide sets
• Critically read and evaluate relevant medical literature to be current in the therapeutic area

Excel at customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific expertsYou will spend most of your time field based and customer facing engaging in mutually beneficial 2-way dialogues with SEs, organize and be speaker in scientific meetings, and act as one of the primary interfaces between Lilly medical and scientific experts to deliver the best-in-class customer experiences.

• You may support the planning & implementation of symposia, advisory boards, scientific exchange and educational meetings/events with HCP’s
• Be aware of current trends, issues and projections for clinical practice and access

Strategic vision and leadershipAs Medical Science Liaison you must be capable of synthesizing complex data, effectively communicate meaningful clinical insights and answer customer questions. You use your problem-solving skills and utilize internal resources effectively to execute upon solutions. You cultivate internal networks and collaborate effectively across functions with an active contribution to medical planning and strategy in the affiliate.Territory ownershipYou will be expected to demonstrate strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization to maximize efficiency. You will implement and evaluate a strategic territory plan prioritizing core Medical Liaison activity and take personal accountability for results.You will adhere to all governing internal and external requirements, procedures, and laws, always demonstrating good judgement.Knowledge of and compliance with local laws and regulations, and global policies and procedures, compliance guidelines with respect to data dissemination, promotional materials and interactions with external health care professionals.Education & Medical Experience

• Master degree in Sciences
• PhD is an asset
• Experience in Metabolic Diseases is an asset
• Experience in Medical Affairs or at the customer interface is an asset
• Previous experience with launches is an asset

• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• Excellent presentation skills
