We work in partnership with both public and private hospitals, as well as in semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare, residential services, and practice nursing.On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Medical Secretary to join an established GP Practice in Co. Galway.Key Responsibilities

• Provide thorough secretarial and administrative assistance to the medical team.
• Organise patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling, rescheduling, and managing cancellations.
• Keep patient records updated, always ensuring strict confidentiality.
• Support the coordination of patient referrals and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Manage phone calls, emails, and patient queries in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience in a medical surgery setting is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Proficiency in Socrates is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
