Our client, a leading contractor are currently seeking an MEP Services Coordinator to join their team in Dublin.The role of the MEP Services Coordinator will report to the MEP Manager and the Senior Project Team. This role is a project-based role. They will be responsible for the design coordination, compliance, procurement and construction to commissioning of the MEP systems. In coordination with the different design teams (Architectural, Structural, M&E, etc.) to achieve final coordinated design information across the different specialties generally in a level 2 BIM environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of M&E design information during the tender phase to identify and communicate any design deficiencies to the bidding team.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage the distribution of M&E design data to ensure it is released promptly for construction tasks.
- Verify that M&E information intended for construction has undergone a thorough review by interface designers and the construction team, and that it aligns with the project specifications before being issued for construction.
- Contribute to Construction, Design, and Management and Health and Safety considerations.
- Scrutinize project drawings and technical specifications for any inconsistencies or disparities
- Management of the mechanical, electrical and associated services and representing these parties at site meetings, including reporting on progress
- Ensuring the commissioning of all systems is complete prior to practical completion
- Ensuring that all operations and maintenance manuals, as built drawings and commissioning reports are complete prior to practical completion
- Ensuring that all surveys of existing installations and the preparation of all coordination drawings are complete in advance of works commencing
- Managing services demonstrations and handover process
- Managing compliance with BCAR requirements
- Snagging & de-snagging
- Post hand over liaison
SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant qualification Degree in Building Services or associated field (Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical )
- Previous Main Contractor experience is desirable
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft Office applications as well as an understanding of AutoCad and BIM Modelling.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ideally have at least 7 years’ experience in building services coordination in Ireland and the UK.
