Cognizant’s MLEU Consulting team has open opportunities for Senior Consultant designations in its Trading and Risk Management consulting practice. We are a team of advisory consultants & product managers working for global oil and gas/commodities trading clients to create significant business value. The team leverages their technology savviness, functional expertise to lead and execute digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact to the Business Transformation Services, Business Analysis, and Functional Architecture and Solution Architecture groups throughout the implementation
  • Interface with business stakeholders to determine key design/process decisions, and contribute to overall delivery plan.
  • Deliver assigned tasks complete and on time as designated by the Programme Office to ensure smooth progress of the implementation.
  • Contribute and take ownership for various project related tasks / planning activities as the programme evolves
  • Knowledge and Practical experience of Project Management methodologies – ability to configure delivery work stream frameworks to progress timelines and delivery milestones
  • Demonstrate ability in planning consulting/functional work & ownership of project outcomes

Professional Qualifications and Skills

  • Any Graduation/Full time MBA from any B School (preferably in Ops/Finance/IT/Systems)
  • 5 to 13 years of work experience

Must Have

  • Strong experience in IT consulting and business analysis – business process definition, requirements gathering, Functional designs, product solution design, proficiency in writing complex BRD, FSD and user stories
  • Majority of experience should be in business consulting in either of the following domains:

o Physical Trading/Commodities Trading

o Derivatives/Capital Markets

o Supply Chain/Logistics/Freight Transportation

Preferred Skillset for Front Office:

  • Detailed knowledge of trade life cycle in Commodity trading domain (Energy, Agri, metals, concentrates)
  • Broad exposure (deal-to-cash) and specialization in front office functions of Commodity Trading landscape – deal capture, deal pricing, Hedging, PnL , Valuation, close of business, Derivatives, trade capture, commodity contracts, P&L, Hedging, Order Management

Preferred Skillset for Front Office/Middle Office/Back Office:

  • Detailed knowledge of trade life cycle in Commodity trading domain (Energy, Agri, metals, concentrates)
  • Broad exposure (deal-to-cash) and specialization in front office functions of Commodity Trading landscape – deal capture, deal pricing, Hedging, PnL , Valuation, close of business, Derivatives, trade capture, commodity contracts, P&L, Hedging, Order Management
  • Broad exposure (deal-to-cash) and specialization in middle office functions of commodity Trading landscape – Middle Office (Logistics, physical delivery, inventory management, procurement, supply chain, Storage, transport, invoicing)
