Location: Bristol, Taunton, Bridgwater OR Yeovil (Somerset areas)We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to work with a core Central Government Mitie client to assist in managing a remote site based cleaning team, including (but not limited to) the management and development of staff, monitoring service delivery to ensure excellent standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning and assisting the Regional team in various management functions.You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required. You will distribute uniforms, deliver Toolbox Talks, carry out occasional audits, mentor new starters, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials, order stocks and any other tasks as required. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate. The position is subject to Government security clearance, including the requirement to have lived in the UK for a minimum of the last 5 calendar yearsThe ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication and IT skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative.
The position includes a company phone and laptop and a company vehicle.
Mitie apply strict standards for any new driver, drivers must:
Have no more than 6 current penalty points.
Have had no driving bans within the last 12 months.
Be over 21 years of age.
Have held a full, valid licence for more than 12
months
