YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Multi-Site Farm Supervisor opportunity in Iowa Falls, IA. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the leadership team. The Multi-Site Farm Supervisor will plan, direct, and coordinate day to day farm activities and staff to ensure all daily and weekly production targets are met. Multi-Site Farm Supervisors will have a range of 15,00-75,000 in animal inventory, 5 to 10 hourly direct reports and 1-2 department team leads.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain high herd health and adhere to all biosecurity set forth by the company and proper feeding and care of animals.
• Training of employees on day-to-day processes and procedures to develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods.
• Supervising and scheduling groups of employees and acting as manager when the supervisor is not present
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
• Assist and ensure that all weekly and daily reports are turned in timely and accurately.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Follow the assigned medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
• Maintain the alarm system and all emergency systems and answer alarm calls properly

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2+ years of related swine experience and/or training.
• Must be fluent in English, reading and writing.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

SCHEDULE

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.

• Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
• The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
