Overview

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Network Analyst II in Nashville, TN. This is a Contract to hire opportunity that is Hybrid and offers outstanding benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, and bandwidth utilization.
  • Maintain and administer network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Participate in the design and optimization of network architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Create and maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, such as systems administrators, security analysts, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
  • Respond to network-related incidents and participate in incident response activities to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and support of network equipment and services.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on network-related issues and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in network administration or a related field, with a focus on network troubleshooting and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Experience with network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and network management tools.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
