Network Analyst Product Engineer II – Network Datasets

Overview

The ArcGIS Network Analyst team helps customers create transportation routes that can minimize CO2 emissions, maximize regenerate breaking, or just make routes more scenic. We enable customers to create routable transportation networks around the world.

Our team is focused on building massive, highly scalable networks used for solving routing and other transportation problems. This role involves understanding transportation data along with designing and testing capabilities to solve real-world transportation problems in mobile, desktop, server, and cloud-based solutions within ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain an extensive suite of problem instances that test various features of a network dataset such as connectivity and attributes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose customer problems involving network datasets
• Research and analyze industry standards for road data and live traffic to establish and define new requirements
• Collaborate with development programmers to design and build innovative new functionality
• Test and document recommended workflows for ArcGIS users and data providers
• Test network data hosted in various configurations such as file, enterprise, mobile geodatabase and work in versioned environments

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in testing and troubleshooting software products and data
• Experience with Python
• Experience with SQL
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s in computer science, mathematics, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Knowledge of GIS, logistics, transportation networks
• Knowledge of spatial data editing and versioning
• Comfortable working with REST API through Python
• Master’s in computer science, mathematics, or related field

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$72,800—$124,800 USD
