GlobalNOC network engineers have an exciting role designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting networks for client organizations across the nation and their connections around the globe. Specializing in 24x7x365 management of complex higher education and government research networks, using some of the most advanced networking technology available, you will have room to grow in your career as a network professional at GlobalNOC.
Established in 1998 at Indiana University, the GlobalNOC’s mission is to advance the future of research, education, and the public interest through the support and evolution of networks. With our staff of 120+, we provide comprehensive contracted network management services to over 20 large-scale networks. As part of Indiana University, we operate as a non-profit; we focus on developing great technical staff, and providing excellent service to our clients.

This mid-level position is situated in GlobalNOC¿s federal/research network engineering team. You will be working with other technical staff, management, and customers to plan and execute new site installs and network hardware refreshes at existing sites.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Travel will be required to customer sites across the US to install, test, and turn up their WAN connections.
