Description

SAIC is looking to hire a Network Engineer in Fort Xiphos, Jordan. The Network Engineer must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. Extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure is required.

This position monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field and nine (9) years or more of experience. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum Top-Secret clearance required

All candidates must have obtained DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II as well as one or more of the following certifications:

• CCNP Collaboration
• CCNP Data Center
• CCNP Enterprise
• CCNP Security
• CCNP Service Provider
• CCIoT
• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional
• Juniper Networks Certified Specialist

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of system networking over diverse topologies and environments to understand the limitations and advantages of different network/system architectures and participate in engineering projects/efforts as tasked by management.
• Experience with engineering enterprise data, voice, In-Line Encryption Device, and video networks. Work with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
• Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
• Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges and routers and ASA and encryption devices (Via Sat devices)
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions.
