Role Overview
We are looking for a Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and support deployments of our CertScan platform. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. The Network Engineer role is to ensure the stability and integrity of equipment used to provide the data transmissions network required to enable the service provisioned by the customer while ensuring the continuous improvement of these services using industry best practices. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. This position will work both independently and on a team on the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or certifications plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of progressive experience in networking and network security including VPN’s, enterprise routing and L3-7 switching. Technical knowledge of Monitoring Systems (Orion, Vcenter), Network Equipment (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet,etc), Servers (Rac, Blade), Hyper-V, VMWare, Windows Server, SQL Server, Storage (NetApp, EMC, HP, etc), Ceph, Active Directory. AWS cloud experience desirable.
2+ years in enterprise network design and implementation
2+ years in firewall/switch technologies
2+ years in MPLS or VPLS network design
2+ years in QoS design and implementation
2+ years in EIGRP, BGP and OSPF
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
