Cognizant is seeking a Network Engineer for a full-time remote opportunity. The candidate can work anywhere in the USA and must have valid work authorization.
The salary range for this role is between $85,000 to $105,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. All applicants must have valid work authorization. We are unable to offer visa sponsorships

Responsibilities will include network configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational work with common enterprise class network devices.
Qualifications:
- Excellent L2/L3 networking fundamentals and extensive experience with standards-based protocols.
- Extensive experience with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of Cisco based LAN/WAN/Firewall device and technologies.
- A working understanding of wireless technologies and strategies.
- Skilled with load balancing devices such as F5 BigIPs and iRule management
- Experience with Site-to-Site and Client-side VPN technologies and designs
- Experience with multi-vendor IPS designs and integration with clouds-based services (Azure/AWS)
- Strong understanding of network security methodologies.
- Experience with network monitoring, performance testing, and technical considerations of capacity planning including QoS, bandwidth utilization, and latency
- Experience developing network performance statistics and availability reports.
- Experience using Wireshark or equivalent tools to troubleshoot network problems.
- Knowledge of Data Center network operations and best practices
- Experience withing VMware/Windows based environment.
- Collaborate with management and other department leaders to assess short- and long-term network capacity needs.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
- Proficient in the management and documentation of large- and small-scale projects
- 4 to 6 years of proven enterprise network experience
- Must possess, at minimum, a current CCNA certification
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment, communicate effectively, work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment, display initiative, and innovation on the job.
