Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and optimize Bytedance’s global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, recommendation system, drive the innovation and evolution of ByteDance network.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1. Good network knowledge, such as OSI and TCP/IP model

2. Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP

3. Understanding of basic network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry.

4. Hands-on experience of network devices, such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper etc

5. Self-motivated, good communication and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 co-existence technologies.

2. Programming/scripting in Python or other languages.
