As a Network Engineer II, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers and IT teams to strengthen our network defenses while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge security technologies.

What You Will Do:

Network Segmentation & Security:

• Assist senior engineers in developing and implementing network and application segmentation strategies aligned with security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Support the design and configuration of VLANs, subnets, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce segmentation policies.
• Help implement micro-segmentation solutions to protect critical assets, applications, and sensitive data.
• Work with the firewall team to optimize rules and policies, ensuring effective security enforcement.

Infrastructure & Risk Management:

• Utilize knowledge of TCP/IP, IOS, multiple routing protocols, wireless protocols (LWAPP), VPN, perimeter security, and Layer 3 content switching to support segmentation initiatives.
• Monitor network traffic for potential security breaches and suspicious activity.
• Assist in conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate segmentation gaps.

Access Control & Collaboration:

• Help manage and enforce access controls within network and application segments, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
• Work closely with Network Infrastructure, Server Services, Firewall Team, and IT Security to support segmentation requirements and security objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network segmentation designs, configurations, and procedures.

What You Bring to the Team:

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of network engineering experience.
• Certifications: CCNA required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of IT experience, preferably in a healthcare or enterprise environment.
• Certifications: CCNP preferred.
