What to Expect

Specialize in network engineering in a semi-global enterprise environment. This role will provide network engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with Staff/Senior Network Engineers on design and initiatives
  • Work closely with Nevada Manufacturing teams and Construction and Facilities on initiatives
  • Maintain current network solutions within workplace and R&D sites in surrounding Greater Nevada area
  • Collaborate with workplace team on development network or electrical components and/or services to meet their needs
  • Function as a Tier 1 Network support
  • Provision, implement, test/validate, and maintain networking services per solution design
  • Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
  • Document network knowledgebase and operational “Run-Book”
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
  • Must be onsite Monday to Friday and willing to be active on site. This role involves walking good distances at times and is not a desk-only position

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, EVPN with VXLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling
  • Extensive focus on L2 troubleshooting and deployment
  • Extensive experience with multi-vendor switching technologies including Juniper, Arista, and Cisco
  • Extensive experience with Juniper SRX and Palo Alto Networks firewall services including IPSEC VPN, URL filtering, and IDS/IPS
  • Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, NetFlow, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, network taps, and load/stress testing
  • Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics is a plus
  • Experience with Wireless Networking deployment and troublshooting with Aruba, Mist, and Meraki are a plus
  • Preferred CCNA/JNCIA Enterprise
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
