Network Engineer (New Graduate Program)

Network Infrastructure (NI) is focusing on the building blocks and essential solutions of critical networks, driving digitalisation across all industries. In APAC, we are looking for enthusiastic and passionate new graduates to join our Network Engineer Graduate Program. This program is designed to provide extensive training and hands-on experience in Network automation, Cloud, AI/ML and Internet technology, followed by a comprehensive job rotation to give candidates a holistic understanding of our technology, business processes and work culture.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

1. Training (First 6 Months):

  • Participate in intensive technical training sessions covering Network Automation, Cloud, AI/ML and Internet technology.
  • Gain hands-on experience with network equipment, network system and management software tools.
  • Learn about network design, implementation, troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Understand the fundamentals of network security and performance monitoring.
  • Weekly mentoring, challenges and co-working sessions on knowledge learned.
  • Take industry recognized professional certifications in network technology.
  • Join face to face training to develop soft skill in communication and presentation.
  • Use latest business tools to produce professional and impactful documents and presentations.
  • Create your own training material and conduct micro training to the group or teams on the latest and coolest knowledge learned.
  • Work with other new graduates to work on a final presentation at the end of training period.

2. Job Rotation (Next 12 Months):

  • 2 rounds of 6 months job assignment.
  • Work in different departments and roles such as network integration, customer solution design, project management etc.
  • Assist in real-world projects and business operations by applying technical knowledge learned.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn best practices and industry standards.
  • Gain exposure to business process, project management and strategic planning.
  • Understand the company workflow from sales and marketing to deployment and maintenance.
  • Engage in cross functional teams to solve complex problems and improve operational efficiency of our customers.

3. Post Program Placement

  • Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a permanent role (based your skill and interest) within NI APAC team.
  • Continue to develop your skills and knowledge through on-going professional development and on-the-job training.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong interest in automation, AI/ML, network engineering and telecommunications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge in automation, development tools and programming fundamentals using Python, REST API and JSON.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English with strong communication and articulation capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and independent to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter especially on new initiative and technology.
  • Can work independently and more importantly, work in a team.
  • Able to work in tight schedules and occasionally, work on off-hours project activities.
  • Able to handle several important tasks at the same time.
  • Able to look at different influential factors and prioritize tasks.
