We need your expertize in Network Infrastructure operations to help us reach our goals. If successful, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of network infrastructure and connectivity delivery and operation on regional level. 

Team

Epiroc IT Network Infrastructure team is a global team of almost 20 people. Although our team is spread around the world, we work closely together. We’re committed to developing solutions that will benefit the business, and are doing this by collaboration and innovation.

In the role of Network Infrastructure Specialist you will report to the Global Network Infrastructure Manager.

Mission

You will be a member of a global Network Infrastructure team. 

You will focus namely on: 

  • Project – Network Infrastructure design and integration into the Epiroc Network
  • Operations – Assist with incidents and day to day operations

Your main scope of the mission will be Epiroc Network delivery and support in Nordis (50%) and EMEA region (50%).

You have an experience namely in following technology areas:

Your daily focus will be on LAN and Wireless LAN operations, delivery and incidents resolution. You will be in touch with Epiroc global and regional IT providers to ensure their WAN connectivity services excellent performance.

You will be taking technical lead on troubleshooting of network connectivity issues, incidents resolution but also on deployment of Network infrastructure and connectivity to new Epiroc locations. 

You will contribute to the Epiroc IT Network Infrastructure strategy, maintaining and optimizing our services, platforms and designs.

You will feel support from other global Network infrastructure team members since our team act as one supporting each other.

Your profile

You have a Bachelor’s or higher University degree in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience. 

You have at least 4 year of experience from working within the area of the IT industry and IT Network Infrastructure operations and delivery. 

As our corporate language is English, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Proven hands-on working experience in Telco / ISP environment is a benefit. You are familiar with IT standards and processes (ITIL) and you have a hands-on experience in operating MPLS, Internet services and LAN, WLAN platforms. Your awarenes in Network Security (Firewalls, etc.) is a strong plus. 

You have reached a CCNP level and higher knowledge backed by extensive experience in deploying and operating enterprise scale Cisco platforms based networks. You are Citrix or other platforms aware or ideally have hands-on experience too. 

Technologies

  • LAN and Wireless LAN network ( Must have past experience )
  • Cisco AirOS and 9800 series Wireless Controller ( Hands on experience is a great bonus )
  • Cisco ISE ( Hands on experience is a great bonus )
  • 9k Series Cisco Switches ( Must have past experience )
  • 9k Wireless AP’s ( Must have past experience )
  • WAN routing (BGP, L3)
  • Cisco Meraki ( Hands on experience is a great bonus )
  • Checkpoint or Palo Alto Firewalls ( Hands on experience is a great bonus )
  • Zscaler or other Web proxies services ( Hands on experience is a great bonus )

Certifications requirements 

  • CCNA required
  • CCNP desirable
  • Checkpoint certifications would be nice but not mandatory
  • Meraki certification would be nice but not mandatory

You are a problem solver with confidence and enjoy to work at a high pace and with a broad spectrum of various tasks. As the role is conducted with responsibility and flexibility, it’s required that you are pro-active, well organized, and thrive to deliver in line with expectations. 

Location 

For this position the preferred location is Fagersta (preferred) or Örebro, Sweden. 

Some travel (within the region, mostly within Sweden) will be part of the role.
