Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Operations L3 Engineer to join our team in a 24×7 Network operations environment. As a crucial member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in network operations/service assurance particularly in the realm of Cisco Data Centre Technologies like ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).

Responsibilities:

Provide Level 3 support for network infrastructure, particularly focusing on ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Data Centre & Routing- Switching environments.

Perform troubleshooting, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for complex network issues.

Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation through proactive maintenance and tuning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support network solutions.

Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24×7 support and respond to network emergencies, faults.

Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, availability, and security using network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Incident Management: Respond to alerts, troubleshoot network incidents, and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues and minimize downtime.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network problems related to DC ACI, VXLAN & routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP), and other networking components.
  • ND fault tracking, ACI Fault tracking, Sys log analysis, Review TACACS Logs
  • Prepare RCA for troubleshooting calls

Change Management:

  • Implement network changes and configurations following established change management processes and procedures.
  • Review MOP, action Plan, software release notes
  • Server migration, commissioning & Decom, Review Device labelling & Rack details in rack diagram
  • Induction & Hardening of devices
  • IP Assignment & Infoblox management
  • Induction of new Switches / Servers
  • Conduct DR Drills

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting steps (Tools – MS Visio)
  • Monthly & weekly reports provide as & when requested.
  • Device inventory & make sure all devices should be under monitoring tools, backup, Asset Manager & SNOW
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Collaboration: Work closely with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams, as well as cross-functional teams such as Systems, Security, and Applications, to resolve complex network issues and improve overall network performance.

Capacity Planning: Assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments for network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.

Security Compliance: Ensure network security compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of network operations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 10 – 12 years of experience in network operations, with a focus on ACI , R&S Data Centre environments.

Expertise in Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including but not limited to TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLANs, MPLS, and QoS.

Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds or equivalent.

Strong knowledge in Routing and Switching technology such as BGP, OSPF, VPC, Multicast, RSTP, MSTP, NAT, PBR, FHRP, STP, LACP

Practical experience in troubleshooting connectivity issues across firewall/Load Balancer or proxy

Able to work under high pressure in a challenging environment.

Knowledge in WAN technology such as MPLS, IPSEC, GRE, VPN, DMVPN, GETVPN

Good to have knowledge in Cisco SDWAN solution (Viptela)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively across teams.

In-depth exposure on Cisco nexus family platforms from installation, commissioning, configuration

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and effectively prioritize tasks.

Cisco certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) in Data Centre would be a plus.

Strong knowledge of Data Center networking technologies, including ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), Nexus switches, and VXLAN.

Proficiency in Routing & Switching protocols and technologies, such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and MPLS.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or equivalent.

Working knowledge of Ticketing Tool (ServiceNow) and drive enhancements with development teams.

Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP in Routing & Switching or Data Centre are highly desirable.

Job Title: L1 Network Engineer – NOC

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic L1 Network Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in network fundamentals, including Data Center (DC) networking technologies such as ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), as well as Routing & Switching. This role will involve providing Level 1 support for network infrastructure and assisting in the monitoring and maintenance of our network operations.

Responsibilities:

Network Monitoring: Monitor network devices, links, and services using network monitoring tools to detect and escalate any abnormalities or issues.

Ticket Management: Receive, categorize, and prioritize incoming tickets or alerts related to network incidents, requests, or changes.

Incident Triage: Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnosis of network incidents, escalating to Level 2 or Level 3 support as necessary for resolution.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, topology diagrams and troubleshooting steps.

Basic Troubleshooting: Assist in basic troubleshooting of network issues related to DC ACI, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP), and other networking components.

Change Support: Provide support for routine network changes and configurations under the guidance of senior engineers or supervisors.

Alert Response: Respond promptly to network alerts, alarms, or notifications, following established procedures and protocols., Exposure to Ticketing tools (Service Now) is plus

Coordination: Collaborate with Ops Mgr, Level 2 and Level 3 support teams, as well as cross-functional teams such as Systems, Security, and Applications, to resolve network incidents and fulfil service requests.

Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers regarding the status of network incidents, changes, or maintenance activities.

Reporting : Monthly Reports, Migration, Ticket Stats etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Basic understanding of network fundamentals, protocols, and technologies, with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Familiarity with Data Center networking concepts, including ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), Nexus switches, and VXLAN, is a plus.

Knowledge of Routing & Switching protocols and technologies, such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and MPLS.

2 – 3 Year Experience with network monitoring and management tools is desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP in Routing & Switching or Data Center are advantageous but not required.
