Summary of Job Duties:

The Network Support Analyst works under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for providing computer support to college personnel, including networking, user services, operations, technical services, or systems applications.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Maintains the Office365 environment, including user management.
  • Configures and maintains the UACCM SharePoint environment by allocating SharePoint sites, migrating date, and maintaining security access.
  • Maintains Multi Factor Authentication for the college.
  • Configures and maintains Microsoft Exchange email, including user management.
  • Maintains the Microsoft Azure platform which serves as the link between UACCM, and UASYS.
  • Coordinate tier 2 service activities.
  • Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, or other network and system problems and replaces defective components when necessary.
  • Provides users with assistance resolving network related problems, consults with users to identify current network operating procedures and to clarify network objectives.
  • Operates master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate computer network access and use.
  • Analyzes equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement.
  • Gathers data pertaining to customer needs, and uses the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.
  • Performs routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintains control records.
  • Maintains an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, systems engineering, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Two (2) years’ work experience in data network operations/design, or related field is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365 environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft MFA environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Knowledge of SCCM/WSUS.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, planning and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of software, hardware or network installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and correct software/hardware problems.
  • Knowledge of functional areas of networking, technical and user services.
  • Ability to identify malfunctions and implement corrective measures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Able to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary Information:

Salary Range: $35,000 to $40,000
