Summary

The position requires an acute attention to detail, demanding the adeptness to meticulously sift through and scrutinize extensive sets of raw invoice and assorted data within telecom carrier billing portals. Ideal candidates should exhibit strong analytical ability and possess an extensive understanding of US and International network/telecom services. This expertise should encompass various domains such as Local, Long Distance, Data, and international telecom products like MPLS, Broadband, SD-WAN, UCAAS, CCAAS, Global Mobility services (spanning from 2G to 5G, including IoT). Additionally, candidates should demonstrate familiarity with invoicing terminologies, Wireless Services, and a solid grasp of emerging technologies in the telecommunications landscape.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Extraction and Analysis: Proficiently extract and meticulously analyze customer usage data from both digital/electronic and non-electronic invoices provided by telecom providers.
  • Client Usage Demand Sets Development: Develop comprehensive client usage demand sets, forming the basis for negotiation and comparison purposes with telecom and network providers.
  • Collaborative Project Management: Interact routinely with the US-based project team, managing the data collection process, and presenting baseline analyses throughout the project timeline. Coordinate closely with the US-based project team to understand project scopes, plan tasks effectively, and ensure completion within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Feedback Analysis and Process Improvement: Review feedback shared by the US-based project team post-project completion. Identify gaps and discrepancies and work proactively towards process enhancement and improvement.
  • Support for Service Line Projects: Provide support for various Service Line Projects such as Network Audit Dial-out, Audit Inventory, Telecom Expense Management, Pre-sales Network Assessments, and other projects associated with Network assessment or similar skill sets. Fulfill reporting requirements that contribute to refining company processes, services, and deliverables.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Demonstrate a proactive approach by sharing relevant ideas and suggestions to improve existing processes and workflows within the organization.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; postgraduates preferred. A degree in Engineering or Science with a specialization in Telecom is highly advantageous.
  • Work Experience: Ideally, 1-5 years of work experience, with a minimum of 1 year specifically within the Telecom Industry. Consideration will be given to recent graduates with relevant internships or specialization in Telecom during their academic tenure.
  • Telecom Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of US-based telecom and network service carriers, including a deep understanding of their offerings, nomenclature, enterprise solutions, and contractual frameworks. Proficiency in wireless and wireline services, coupled with an understanding of pricing structures and invoicing conventions, is crucial.
  • Familiarity with top US Telecom carriers providing both Wireline and Wireless services is imperative. Understanding of other global Telecom Carriers providing Wireline and Wireless services is also valuable.
  • Analytical and Contract Analysis Skills: Proven experience in conducting accurate and timely provider contract analysis and Telecom Pricing analytics, demonstrating a sound understanding of the industry’s financial aspects.
  • Client Interaction and Offshore Experience: Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating and collaborating with US-based companies/clients, ensuring clear and concise interactions. Prior experience working in an offshore business environment is advantageous, showcasing adaptability and understanding of cross-cultural work settings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical background complemented by excellent computer skills, particularly in MS-office suite such as MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint. Proficiency in these tools is essential for data analysis, reporting, and effective presentation of findings.

The ideal candidate will not only possess a solid educational foundation and relevant industry experience but also showcase proficiency in analytical tools and a proven track record of effective communication with US-based clients. Adaptability to offshore work environments and a keen understanding of global telecom carriers and their services will significantly contribute to success in this role.

  • Analytical Proficiency and Technical Skills: Possesses a robust analytical background reinforced by excellent computer skills, particularly adept in MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-Word, and MS-PowerPoint. Proficiency in these tools is essential for data analysis, reporting, and presenting insights.
  • High Energy and Logical Outlook: Exhibits high energy levels, functioning well in fast-paced environments. A self-starter with a logical outlook, capable of handling tasks efficiently and with attention to detail even under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital. The role involves regular interaction with the US-based project team, necessitating the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Effective Relationship Building: Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain productive work relationships across various organizational levels. This includes fostering effective collaborations not only within the India team but also externally with stakeholders such as leadership, peers, US-based consultants, and other involved parties.
  • Confidentiality and Adherence to Regulations: Capable of maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive client information. Understanding and adhering to ISO rules and regulations pertaining to the handling of data and client information would be considered a strong asset.
  • ISO Understanding (Plus Point): Basic knowledge or understanding of ISO rules and regulations would be advantageous. Familiarity with these standards could enhance compliance and align work practices with internationally recognized protocols.
