Job Summary: Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing high risk perinatal Obstetric (OB) ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental and governing agency guidelines and protocols. Ultrasound scheduling oversight and ultrasound machine maintenance for expanding APS locations within the MFM department network wide. Liaison between offsite locations and Bradhurst to assist in the coordination and transfer of care to Bradhurst and WMC. Works independently performing ultrasound scans for remote interpretation by the MFM providers. Candidates should have special interest and expertise in prenatal diagnosis with the ability to recognize normal and pathological conditions to communicate any anomalies and abnormal findings back to the interpreting provider for immediate review. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs specified diagnostic Ultrasound procedures per standard protocols under the supervision of the provider for obstetric, gynecological and high-risk OB patients.
  • Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs.
  • Knowledge of perinatal ultrasound procedures which may include invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
  • Ability to perform fetal Doppler studies, 3D/4D image rendering, fetal echocardiography and nuchal translucency screening.
  • Ability to analyze fetal anatomy in all stages of gestation for anomalies and fetal well being.
  • Ability to appropriately image the maternal reproductive anatomy for anomalies, including transvaginal ultrasound.

Job Summary: Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing high risk perinatal Obstetric (OB) ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental and governing agency guidelines and protocols. Ultrasound scheduling oversight and ultrasound machine maintenance for expanding APS locations within the MFM department network wide. Liaison between offsite locations and Bradhurst to assist in the coordination and transfer of care to Bradhurst and WMC. Works independently performing ultrasound scans for remote interpretation by the MFM providers. Candidates should have special interest and expertise in prenatal diagnosis with the ability to recognize normal and pathological conditions to communicate any anomalies and abnormal findings back to the interpreting provider for immediate review.

  • Ability to perform fetal Doppler studies, 3D/4D image rendering, fetal echocardiography and nuchal translucency screening.
  • Ability to analyze fetal anatomy in all stages of gestation for anomalies and fetal well being.
  • Ability to appropriately image the maternal reproductive anatomy for anomalies, including transvaginal ultrasound.
  • Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures while providing support that achieve desired results.
  • Assesses sonographic images for technical quality, proper annotation and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
